David Duncombe is the founder of Maada Consulting  & Analytics.  From 2009-2016, he directed the global development and deployment of pricing and trade promotion investment best practices in Kimberly-Clark's North American and International operations. In that capacity, he worked with premier consulting firms to develop price strategy and analytic tools, consulting methods, and training programs. More recently, he directed a project to transform how K-C set prices and invested trade in the US and Canada.  From 2004-2009, he was the HUGGIES Brand Marketing Director for KC International, where he coordinated global brand and product development strategies across KC. From 1990-2004, he was promoted through a number of development roles in marketing, sales, and business analysis at K-C. Before joining K-C, David worked at the Federal Reserve Bank of New York as an investment analyst and at Booz, Allen, & Hamilton as a strategic consultant. He considers his cross-functional background to be one of his strengths because it enables him to connect and work well with people in marketing, sales, business, finance, and product development roles.

David’s educational background also is exceptional. He recently completed his Master’s in Predictive Analytics from NU’s School of Professional Studies and continues to explore how to incorporate advanced data analysis into business decision-making. He also attended a Northwestern University' executive education program in pricing strategy. Before starting his career, he had earned a doctorate in International Relations from Oxford University, where he was a Rhodes Scholar.  He earned his BA with honors in Asian Studies from Northwestern University.  During his junior year,  he studied abroad in Shanghai, China at Fudan University, one of the top universities in China. In addition to his work with Maada Consulting and Analytics, he is now teaching marketing strategy at the University of Wisconsin's Oshkosh campus and political economy courses at Lawrence University.

David’s charity interests are focused on Africa and education. "Maada", which means "chief" in Mende, is the title that the village of Mattru gave him in gratitude for helping a local student to complete his post secondary education in the United States.  It is in return of this honor that David has earmarked at least 10% of the profits from Maada Consulting and Analytics to fund scholarships and other education opportunities in Sierra Leone.
